My Daily Essentials

Hello! I didn’t really know what to call this blogpost as it’s kind of favourites mixed with my daily essentials mixed with a daily routine. But basically I thought I’d tell you all about my go to beauty products that I use day in and day out. I’m going to exclude make up from this one, as that would make it far too long. That can be a whole other post! This will include haircare, skincare, essential toiletries and just random bits and bobs that I need to keep right in front of me, so I remember where they are.

Starting with skincare. My routine recently has been all over the place, and to be honest it doesn’t seem to affect my skin too much. Sometimes I find the less you do to your skin, the better it can be. So day-to-day I tend to only use about 2/3 products to keep my face clean and moisturised.

Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner

This is the first product I would grab on a morning. I find it really refreshes my skin and leaves it looking glowy. I had heard a few people talking about this range in Boots and this is the first product I’ve tried from it- and I love it! It’s super affordable, gentle on the skin, smells great and lasts for ages! It’s a quick step to add into your daily routine to make that skin glow.

NIP+FAB Hydrate Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum

This product I don’t use everyday as I don’t think it’s necessary. It’s for those days where your skin is feeling particularly dry, lacklustre and tight. It really helps plump up the skin and hydrate at the same time. It smells divine. Lovely and fresh. I managed to pick this up on a great deal at Superdrug, they had any 2 NIB+FAB products on for £18, it was such a steal as this product on it’s own was £19.95!

Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Cream

Next step is a bit of moisturiser. This one so so affordable and I find it does a great job at instantly adding moisture to my skin. I was using the Origins Make A Difference Plus + Rejuvenating Treatment, but as I was coming to the end of it I wanted an affordable substitute to tie me over and this definitely did the trick.

I have a few other moisturisers knocking around in my basket as I think it’s good to mix them up but this is the one I use the most often.

Next up is haircare. Now I wash my hair only twice a week. I have very thick hair so it doesn’t need any more than that otherwise I would just dry it out. I’ve recently switched up my hair products and I am loving them.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Daily Nourisher Shampoo – Almond Crush

This range of hair products has saved my hair. They are so nourishing but yet gentle on the hair and really helps maintain frizz which is a big problem for me. They smell amazing, I love the smell of almonds, it’s such a sweet comforting smell without being too sickly. It’s silicone free which was what I was looking for when I switched. They are also so ecofriendly as all their bottles are 100% recyclable and they are partnered with Terracycle to help keep beauty products out of landfills. Love it. I also have the conditioner in the range which is just as norishing and leaves your hair so silky.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Silicone-Free Mask – Argan Richness

I’ve been using this every other wash and it is beautiful. To me it smells like holiday and sunshine. It leaves your hair feeling so soft and healthy. Let alone shiny!! I got all 3 of these Garnier products on a 3 for 2 offer, definitely worth picking up.

Number 4 High Performance Smoothing Balm

I am the worst with hair styling products. I never know whats good and what will work. But I got this mini in a Birchbox a while ago and I really like it! It, again, smells amazing. (Products have to smell nice if they’re going on my hair). It applies really nicely into the hair, not leaving it feeling tacky, sticky or knotty, which is what I find with a lot of hair products. And it really helps keep my hair smooth.

Shower products is a weird one. I didn’t know whether to mention them or not, are they a bit boring? Or if you’re like me you’ll like to try different gels, foams and washes just because.

Original Source Shower Gel – Mint & Tea Tree and Lemon & Tea Tree

I love these shower gels. I find a lot of shower gels can leave a residue or a film over your skin, but these don’t do that! They leave you feeling so fresh!! The mint one in particular is a fave. You know just after brushing your teeth your mouth feels so fresh and minty? It’s like your whole body has that. It feels so nice. These bottles are again 100% recycable,  100% natural fragrance and paraben free.

Femfresh Daily Wash

Won’t go into too much detail on this, wasn’t even sure whether to mention it, but hay ho, we’re all adults. It’s 100% soap free and super gentle on your skin. It helps balance your PH and is mixed with natural ingredients like aloe and calendula.

Randomsssss

I thought I’d do a little random section to include all the essential things I either use everyday or just need to hand.

Sure Cool Blue 48h Anti-Perspirant

Boring, deodorant is deodorant, everybody uses it. I just find this one is the best at keeping me fresh for the longest. I used to use areosols but after having switched back to roll on I much prefer this. It’s very gentle on your skin and feels more fresh. Also, cool blue is the best scent. Just saying.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream

This time of year I always need a hand cream to…well hand. My hands can get so dry, so quickly as soon as the weather gets a bit colder, so I always try keep this close to remind me to use it on the morning and throughout the day. It’s a super concentrated formula so you only need a very small amount, but it absorbs really quickly and doesn’t leave your hands feeling slimy.

There are also a few tool like things I always keep to hand… Nail files, shower cap and flannel. Essentials.

That’s it. That’s all my daily essentials/favourite/go to’s all written about in one post. Let me know if you like/use any of the same products as me. Or if you’ve got any recommendations, especially haircare, as I’m always looking to try new stuff.

Thanks so much for reading!
